Very heavy duty rug liner for small rug, holds rug in place pretty well. I am using on vinyl flooring tiles, not wood. Good padding, makes walking on comfortable. Service was quick.

Used this under a runner rug on wood floor. Gripped well and provided extra cushion. Good product

Got this to put under an 8x10 area rug. The rubber side works really well for keeping the rug in place. The 1/8" thickness does add some cushioning, but if you are pairing with a very thin rug, or you just prefer a cushier feel, you might want to choose the 1/4" thickness. Unfortunately did have a lot of creasing from being folded for delivery, which took a long time to flatten out on its own. Overall it's a really good rug pad and at a better price than some of the others out there.

We have an area rug that was sliding all over the place. We tried several types of tapes and they just peeled right off, but this pad has been perfect. It keeps the rug in place and provides just enough padding to make it soft without being bulky.

I have travertine floors and after trying a Pottery Barn rug pad with my PB area rug in front of my kitchen island sink, I became very frustrated with my rug always moving around. The grip initially was okay, but in time would not grip like it should. So far my two Gorilla area rug pads are performing as expected. With the great Gorilla brand name, I hope they stay that way. Keeping fingers crossed!

easy to lay down, keeps carpet in place.,

The Gorilla rug pad appears to be well made with quality materials. I expect it will last a long time. Took away two stars because I was sent the incorrect size with instructions to “cut to desired size” hmm I specifically choose this rug pad because of the size and did not want to mess with measuring and cutting. I was working with a deadline or it would have been returned.

I have several rugs on hardwood and have always used the waffle-pattern rubber matting that you can find just about anywhere that's advertised as a "rug pad" for hardwood floors. However, it's very thin, and I always questioned what it actually did under there, which is basically nothing other than holding the rugs in place. There is almost zero cushion. After seeing some wear on one of my Persian rugs, I decided that I needed to do something to preserve a rug that's worth a fair amount of money. After some research, I found this Gorilla Grip that seemed to have good reviews and looked like a definite step up. Once I received it (make sure you order from the manufacturer and not a 3rd party!), I was very pleased with the quality and workmanship. I had to cut down the piece to fit under my rug, but that wasn't very difficult with some metal snips that I have. I imagine it might be difficult with regular scissors due to the thickness of the felt and rubber backing together.Once I had the pad in place, I could immediately tell the difference in the level of cushion. Since it's only .25", it's not "plush", but it's a noticeable upgrade from the rubber matting and seems like it will offer good protection to the rug. The first rug is held place with a couch and two chairs so the pad isn't needed to keep the rug from moving. However, I liked the first one so much that I bought a second, smaller one for the rug at our entrance door -- a 3x5 Afghan/Uzbek wool rug. That rug is very durable, but I still want to protect it. Since it's not held in place by anything, the Gorilla Grip pad does need to provide stability, and I can say that it definitely does hold the rug in place. I haven't noticed the rug moving much at all, even with our rambunctious dog running back and forth across it.These rug pads are overkill for cheap rugs but should be a minimum for high quality rugs like Persians or Orientals on hardwood or laminate floors. If your rug costs hundreds or thousands of dollars, it's a small price to pay for protection against wear.

I normally don't write reviews but I had to on this one. This is the second time I purchased this Pad. I purchased one about 6 years ago and the backing started to break down so it was time to replace it. I use this in a room that has a hardwood floor. We have been using this room to exercise in so I need something that would add an extra layer of padding to my rug, but would also grip the floor without the backing sticking to the floor. This worked out perfectly. The picture of the floor is after I took up the old pad. As you can see it didn't leave any of the padding stuck to the floor. It was very easy to trim the edges of the oval rug.

We have an antique rug that had rips and slipped and wrinkled constantly that we considered getting rid of. The pad worked so well that we bought two more. All the rugs are stable and feel better underfoot. Gorilla Grip Pads are worth it.
